We can't leakwhat we don't keep.
A plain account of what Venym keeps, for how long, and what never touches a disk.
We do not store your prompts or the model's replies. We store a receipt for each request so we can bill you and keep the service running. Nothing else.
What we store per request# link
- Which model you called
- Prompt tokens, completion tokens, and the cost
- Latency and time to first token
- HTTP status and the endpoint (chat, search, scrape)
- Which API key or the chat app made the call
- A timestamp
Request metadata is deleted after 30 days by default. If you turn on "retain logs" in settings, it is kept for 365 days so you can see your own history. That switch only changes how long the receipts live, never whether text is kept.
What we do not store# link
- Prompts, system messages, tool calls, completions
- Search queries and scraped page contents (they pass through to answer the request)
- Your IP address
- An email, unless you choose to add one
Rate limiting needs to know how fast a key is calling. That counter lives in memory and is keyed to the API key, not to you.
Your account# link
An account is a random 16-digit number. It is shown once when you sign up. We keep a hash of it, which means we cannot tell you what it was if you lose it. You may add an email and password for recovery; that is optional.
Chat history# link
Conversations in the Venym chat app live in your browser's local storage. They are sent to the model to get a reply and are not saved on our servers. Clear your browser data and they are gone.
Payments# link
Crypto payments go through NOWPayments. They see the payment; we see that an invoice was paid and for how much. Card payments, if you use them, are handled by the card processor and bring the details a card normally does.
Upstream providers# link
When our own nodes are busy or offline, a request can be sent to an upstream provider so it still gets answered. The status page shows when that is happening. The same no-logs rule applies to what we send; their handling is their own.
Deleting your account# link
Delete it from settings. It is immediate and total: the account, its keys, the usage receipts and any email are removed. Remaining credit is forfeited. There is no soft-delete and no grace period.
Legal requests# link
If we are compelled to hand something over, the answer is: balances and token counts. We would tell you if we were allowed to.
